• Sometime between 1828 and 1830 the family moved to Monroe County, Ohio, Malaga Township. William T. Eaton, Issac Eaton, Miranda Eaton and Elihu T. Eaton were born in Monroe County. The 1830 Census of Malaga Township listed David and Hannah Eaton. Monroe County land records listed David Eaton's purchase of 122.3 acres on 20 August 1838.

• David and Hannah Eaton bought the 100 acres and house in 1856 and lived there until their deaths. In 1876 their son Elihu Tipton Eaton and his wife, Mary Elizabeth Melrose, bought the same property; the later deed is identified as Wood County Deed Book 53, page 290.
