The compiler met George Wallace Maddox (generation 9) of Jacksonville, Florida, a direct descendant of Mathew R. Maddox, whose lineage report (traced to generation 10, living descendants) is attached to the Maddox Family History master file. At the 11 October 2000 family meeting in Vienna, West Virginia, this branch (whose descendants ended up in Florida) was connected to the lineage.
