The last to live in the house of Samuel (Madoc) Maddox (a two-story wooden frame house on a stone foundation, since burned). The compiler believes Captain Willie was in this Maddox lineage, but his lineage and parents are not known. A George William Maddox was appointed first Post Master of Maddox, Maryland on 23 August 1892.
